Inspired by : We learned the word ethnography through the work of David Alfaro Siqueiros, of the same name, made in 1939. This work is about an Indian figure wearing a pre Hispanic mask.
Ethnography studies the customs, beliefs and traditions of a society, which are passed from generation to generation and allows the continuation of a particular culture or a social system. It is a descriptive study of the peoples culture, language, race, religion, habits, as well as the physical manifestations of their activities. Ethnography word comes from the Greek ethos (culture) + graph (writing). It’s the science of the ethnic groups.
In our interpretation on the subject, we bring a woman with an abstract and futuristic mask and that within the hierarchy of the tribe shows a high and powerful status, which makes her a princess or queen. This fusion between primitive and futuristic intends to show the study of cultures and that the respect for all peoples are the most solid ways for an egalitarian future.
